There is a New Moon in Virgo today at 8:52 PM EDT.  New Moons are a time of setting intent and planting seeds.  This New Moon in Virgo forms a tight trine with innovative and revolutionary Uranus.  With the Uranian influence this becomes a time when we can really shake our life up.  Inspired creativity and an ability to break free of limitations we have placed upon our self are key elements of this New Moon energy.  This is a practical magick Moon, oriented toward improving our relationship with health and well-being and with creating more effective ways to work which will increase our productivity in the moment, thereby freeing time for us to enjoy a more balanced work and life ratio in our life.  Fresh commitment to stalled projects can yield fruitful results during this lunation period.  Communications are highlighted, at least until Mercury goes retrograde very late in the month.  Constructive self-criticism can be employed now to help move on from troubling character traits such as perfectionism in our own life and being harshly judgmental of others.  In many ways this is the home improvement Moon. Meditate on what you would like to change in yourself and in your life in the hours before the New Moon lunation, then plant those seeds in your New Moon ritual.  However don’t forget that there is a fourth step to magick, after intent and will and energy.  Magick requires action.  What you plant must be nurtured and nourished in the days and weeks after the initial work.
