The Sky Now - An Astrology Blog (November 24)

Our thinking aligns with the new Zodiac Season as Mercury transits into Sagittarius today.  The Moon moves into Leo at 10:59 EST this morning, boosting the passionate Fire Element energies of the day.  We are definitely about the big picture now and will be until the 16th of December when Mercury joins Venus in Capricorn.  Details can be ignored though or missed altogether during this expansive, philosophical and idealistic transit. Details are important however and in fact success in anything is usually contingent on them.  Mutable Fire energy is quick to ignite and intense, however it needs to harnessed  and focused for a sustained period of time otherwise we are simply beginning many things and bringing few or none of them to fruition.  There is a heightened risk now of falling into judgmental obsession and patterns of sanctimonious self-righteous preaching. This is not constructive behavior.  It does however serve to feed the ego in a toxic manner though by promoting self-serving feelings of moral superiority over other people, sick behavior really that has caused much pain and suffering to many other human beings over the course of history.  However, if we stay spiritual  and maintain our sense of humor this can be a joyous, productive and inspiring point in our year.  Jupiter rules the sign of Sagittarius.  At its best Jupiter is a planet of hope, optimism, healthy growth and well-being.  At its worst it is an amplifier of negativity, chaos and toxic destructiveness.
