The Sky Now - An Astrology Blog (May 1)

May 1 is the sabbat Beltane, an ancient European celebration of life and fertility rooted in pagan pre-Christian and pre-Islamic times there.  Feasting, dancing, maypoles and bonfires have long been part of Beltane rituals,  as has sexuality.  Beyond the celebratory Beltane is a time of rites and incantations invoking spiritual protection from both natural and supernatural harm.  Venus is conjunct Jupiter in Pisces today.  We find joy and inspiration now in love, art, beauty, spirituality and pleasure, and we become aligned with a vision of a better life, a better world, a better future.
