The Sky Now - An Astrology Blog (July 1)

The Moon transited into the bold, ego-driven, Fixed Fire sign of Leo Thursday night at 8:40 PM EDT, just in time for Holiday Weekend.  Leo is a festive sign so most people will be up for fun and certainly many will be enthusiastically expressing themselves in a variety of manners and degrees over the next couple of days. Today Mars, the planet that governs our outward expression of energy, forms an exact square with Pluto.  This is where things get tricky. This is a volatile aspect that can unleash  dangerous and destructive energies.  Pay attention to what is going on around you. Power struggles can easily explode into violent fights under these energies. There is increased likelihood of accident or misadventure now.  Take no unnecessary risks.  It's definitely a time to curb over-sensitivity and keep your ego in check.  Your temper can flare easily now and reactivity can lead to impulse and action you later regret.  Those who keep it light and easy will enjoy the best experience under these energies. Those who slip into uber-competitive aggressive self-focused mode however will be agents of chaos who cause a negative experience for others and ultimately a bad experience for themselves.  Have fun, but play nice and stay spiritual!
