Early Saturday December 4 (2:43 AM EST) we have a New Moon in Sagittarius with a solar eclipse. This last eclipse in the series of eclipses occurring on the Gemini/Sagittarius axis that began in June 2020 will have a purging effect on our inner spiritual being and on our mind. This Karmic cleansing and letting go will create space for new or adjusted belief systems, for new faith and for optimism. The North and South Nodes will shift to Taurus and Scorpio respectively on December 22, which will begin a new cycle. Look at your Natal Chart to see where Taurus and Scorpio are and which areas of life will be affected most for you during this coming transit.
Ruled by the planet Jupiter, Sagittarius is a sign of hope. We may find we have to sacrifice some things however in order to move forward toward a desired new beginning. Many of us are worn down now, due to both pandemic fatigue and world conditions. This fresh New Moon energy can be key in rallying us to summon the energy to transcend unhealthy states of being and to face the challenges of the coming winter and indeed the challenges of life itself.
Bad habits developed over the pandemic can be faced and steps to undo their damage can begin now. New health choices can be made now, a more holistic and natural approach to personal health and well-being. Certainly good health is as much if not more about the choices we make in every area of our life each day as it is about what a doctor prescribes when we are already ill. Consider what you put in your body and how you treat your body. Consider the sort of thoughts you allow in your mind. Consider the types of extra-personal energy you allow in your life. Consider what you need to sacrifice for your own greater good.
Beyond improvements and growth in our own life we can also do more and do better regarding the health of our communities and regarding the health and well-being of the Earth itself. Rise up, rise up and embrace the passionate, idealistic and positive energy of Sagittarius as you begin the new lunar cycle. There is a better life.
