The Sky Now - Full Moon in Cancer (January 3, 2026)

 Full Moons cast light upon that which was previously hidden. The first Full Moon of the new calendar year casts light on our emotional life and on our relationships. We are drawn to focus on release under this Full Moon. Revelations as to what should be moved on from come to us as we are deeply connected to both our intuition and our own emotional intelligence. What we know through our personal experience will now take dominion in situations where feelings and desire have made us overly hopeful to the point of our own detriment. We can gain power in situations that are overwhelming to us by shifting from trying to control others to simply setting and maintaining boundaries. Of course our own boundaries are where we have the greatest agency. We need to need to accept where people are in the their journey and that they will only ever behave relative to where they are in their journey. And we need to be willing to move from situations where the emotional drain has become too great for us to bear. Certainly outright abuse is something we should always move on from without question or reservation. The fact is not every relationship, pattern, or habit is not meant to stay in our lives permanently. This is a time to consider what it is time for us to move on from. Space created becomes open space for fresh possibility, and sentiment for its own sake can at times prove to be a liability.
