The Sky Now - An Astrology Blog

5/8/2025

The major astrological event of spring 2025 has been the Saturn/North Node/Neptune stellium in Pisces, and thus the key theme of this period has been spirituality.  Spirituality is not dogma and adherence to said dogma. Spirituality is action. And it is action based in spiritual principles. Many of the most religious people are the least spiritual, certainly that holds true for the fanatical zealots who seek to impose their views on others and are willing to do anything to realize that end. This is a time for experiencing spiritual awakening and for developing spiritual structure and practice. I believe we are all born with a sacred spiritual duty, even an obligation, to contribute to the well-being and the bettering of the village we live in. My philosophy, be a decent human being, which translates to have consideration for the rights and feelings of others, have some empathy, have some compassion.  My own specific spirituality is rooted in ancient indigenous northern European beliefs and practices. I perform rituals of empowerment, abundance and well-being for myself, and well-being and positive change for my community, the greater world community, and for the Earth itself. I wake up each morning with a desire and intent to be a positive element in the energy fabric of the community I live in. I live a simple, Earth friendly, minimalist life. Core spiritual principles for me are gratitude, humility, acceptance, patience, tolerance, empathy, compassion, honesty, and service. I am not motivated by money. I work within the boundary of my ethics, and I make enough to live on. Beyond meeting my own basic needs, I give to the unhoused and to the suffering as I can. I don’t judge, and I steer clear of righteousness, which of course is rooted in ego as much as anything. We all have a choice as to what sort of imprint we leave in the Universal energy fabric when our body dies and our consciousness fades, one of positive contribution and harmonious creation, or one of darkness and destructive chaos rooted in selfishness.
