The astro energies we have to work with this week are both passionate and practical. The Sun is grounded in the calm fixed Earth energy of Taurus now and we are drawn toward actions of self-care that serve both our inner well-being needs and our physical and material security needs out in the world. The waxing gibbous Moon is in Virgo to start the week and has us analyzing and assessing how well our needs are being met in various areas of our lives. This solar/lunar energy blend is very conducive to finding solutions and creating clarity. Mercury is conjunct Chiron the healer in Aries on Tuesday. This aspect can be quite liberating for those who are self-aware and already on a healing path. Areas of the inner self that still require work can reveal themself now. Those with untreated inner wounds that have metastasized to core inner anger however may find themselves easily triggered and even acting out under these midweek energies. Life is of course hard enough on its own, so we don’t want to make it even more difficult for ourselves via self-sabotaging. Venus in the early degrees of Aries continues to push us toward passion. It sextiles Pluto throughout the week, creating a catalyst for transformative love/passion action. Thursday at 3:07 (AM) EDT the Moon moves into Libra, bringing a more sensual tone to the week’s energies. As both Taurus and Libra are ruled by Venus there is a pleasure energy connection between the Sun and the Moon Thursday and Friday. Indulge yourself. There is a lot going on out there these days and we all need to step out for a break now and then, if only to preserve our own mental health. Saturday energies intensify as Mercury moves into Taurus at 8:15 (AM) EDT and the Moon moves into Scorpio at 15:59 EDT. Mercury is transiting rapidly now and will move through all 30 degrees of Taurus in two weeks. A lot can get done under these energies, though everything is viewed through a practical lens. Where this fast Mercury transit gets tricky is in over-dogmatic thinking, lack of flexibility and/or adaptability, and outright tunnel vision. Nuance could be completely missed now. A stormy emotional weekend for some, as the Scorpio Moon builds power heading toward its Full Moon lunation on Monday (00:55 AM EDT). Situations where sexual tension has been building can manifest into actual sexuality under the weekend energies. Before giving in to impulse and passion be sure this is something you actually want for yourself.
